Returns & Exchanges Policy

At Makitali Shop, we stand behind the quality of our professional-grade power tools and lighting equipment. We understand that even the most reliable tools may occasionally need to be returned or exchanged. This policy outlines our straightforward process designed specifically for tradespeople and contractors.

Returns Eligibility

To be eligible for return or exchange, items must:

  • Be in original packaging with all accessories and documentation
  • Show no signs of use or damage
  • Be returned within 15 days of delivery
Note: For safety and hygiene reasons, the following products cannot be returned or exchanged:
  • Torches and Lighting with signs of use (due to potential bulb/component wear)
  • Any power tool showing evidence of worksite use (scratches, dust, or wear)
  • Products missing their original safety certifications or labels

Return Process

Follow these steps to return your professional equipment:

  1. Initiate Your Return: Email our trade support team at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Receive Authorization: We’ll respond within 1 business day with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.
  3. Package Securely: Repack the tool in its original packaging with all protective materials.
  4. Ship Your Return: Send the package to our Dundee facility using a trackable service. Return shipping is at your expense unless the return is due to our error.

Exchange Process

For exchanges of angle drills, circular saws, or other tools:

  1. Follow the same steps as the return process
  2. Clearly state the replacement item required in your initial email
  3. We’ll ship your replacement as soon as we process the return

Refund Timeline

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Credit Card/PayPal: Refunds process within 3-5 business days (additional 2-5 days for bank processing)
  • Original Payment Method: Funds will return to your original payment method
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% fee applies to opened but unused professional tools

Damaged or Defective Tools

If you receive a damaged or defective impact driver, reciprocating saw, or other professional tool:

  • Expect priority processing for your replacement
